More Than

We Could Ever Imagine!

It was more than 5,000 people from over 200 nations together. We heard loud and clear: “We gotta go out there and spread this message. We are all part of His plan. Every year, 37 million people face a Christ-less eternity. The more the Church is persecuted, the more the Gospel spreads. Persecution doesn’t kill the Church, but a watered-down Gospel can.” Those are some little snaps of what different speakers brought to Lausanne 4 participants. Time together with a crowd, discussions around the table with people from different backgrounds, deep connection with few, countless coffee times with like-minded leaders imagining the way ahead, collaborating with one another, late nights and early morning in time for the next day. It was quite a week.

The whole time, we wrestled with the issue of “doing and being together,” bringing to the front the whole concept of collaboration to saturate this world with the message of the Gospel. We listened to the plight and history of the Korean Church through the ages, the struggle, the division, the competition, and the healing. We heard about the persecution in many closed countries and how the Gospel is spreading like yeast among them, showing the power of His glory.

However, it must be understood by all that the job is too great, too big, too diverse, and needs the involvement of ALL. If all people groups are to be reached by The Message, collaboration must exist between the Church, missionaries, pastors, evangelists, local church structures, denominations, and everyone, doing everything in order that the whole world can hear, obey His call, and submit to His Lordship. The task of transformational discipleship is crucial.

As I write you, I am leaving for Guinea Bissau. There, more researchers will be trained, and a group of pastors will be encouraged to collaborate towards the reaching of those who are yet to hear about our Savior. We cannot do it without you. They cannot do it without collaborating and working together as His people.

Lausanne 4 was a great moment for The Church worldwide. I couldn’t be there without partnership with some.

This effort will be translated into a greater collaboration for the Gospel in our beautiful continent… and many will come to know and follow HIM.

Thank you for your active part in “this.” A blessed Thanksgiving to you all! Let’s celebrate His goodness, mercy, and love lavished upon us. C’mon, let’s do this TOGETHER!
