How long have you been involved in Christian Ministry?

Noel and Jean Livesey has been involved in Christian Ministry for 44 years. They served as church planters in the Philippines for 25 years. Noel and Jean first joined OC Africa in 2014 and are grateful they now get to serve in the country of their birth.

Where are you based?

Noel and Jean are based in Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa

They are ministry leaders of ‘Celebrate Recovery’ in Hermanus and are also the national representatives of Celebrate Recovery  for South Africa

A ministry experience that stands out for these two committed people revolves around mentoring a gentleman from Greenland since January 2020. Watching him grow into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ while overcoming addiction to pornography, and healing from anger and hurts. O has now returned to Greenland and is already sharing what God has done for him through the ministry of Celebrate Recovery. Noel continues to coach O in the 12 Step program via Zoom.

Noel and Jean continue to personally experience ‘Healing from Hurts, Hang-ups and Habits through the 8 Recovery Principles’ and the ’12-Step programme of Celebrate Recovery’. Their dedicated team consists of 10 leaders and 16 volunteers who coach people struggling with any kind of addiction to reconcile with God to change their habits and outlook and consequently change the environment around them.
