Time and time again African leaders have expressed the difference between what OC does and some other organizations they know. Working with the Movement for Africa National Initiatives is a clear example. From the top leadership to national/regional leaders around the countries where OC has worked with the expression of gratitude for the Barnabas type of ministry is often mentioned. Recently a pastor from a Portuguese speaking country shared with me about how we  brought his country (and evangelical leadership) into contact with other countries/leaders in the continent. His words were: “You did this for us. Now we feel comfortable to come to you to share our experience in ministry and ask for advice and mentoring.” This is absolutely a God thing. Meeting people on the journey and helping them, through encouragement and training, to achieve what they before thought would not be possible. That’s the harvest we always dream with.
